BEAUTY OF JOSEON Revive Eye Serum: Ginseng + Retinal is an eye serum designed to tackle signs of aging while also being suitable for use all over the face. When the protein responsible for maintaining elasticity in the skin's outer layer diminishes, it results in a decreased percentage of collagen and hyaluronic acid, ultimately leading to the formation of wrinkles. This serum effectively minimizes fine lines and wrinkles thanks to its powerful blend of 10% ginseng root extract and 2% retinal. Ginseng is widely recognized for its anti-aging benefits, rich in saponins—natural compounds found in plant cells, particularly legumes—with antioxidant, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties that protect the skin from harmful UV damage. These compounds also provide deep hydration and help create a healthy barrier to environmental threats. Additionally, the second crucial ingredient in this serum is Vitamin A, which is commonly available in two key forms in skincare: retinol and retinal. The scientists behind this formulation aimed to ensure stability within the composition to reduce the risk of irritation. The serum contains 2% retinal (0.02% of which is the active ingredient), presented in a liposomal form to enhance absorption by breaking it down into smaller molecules. The formula also includes glycerin, niacinamide, and cholesterol to further amplify the efficacy of ginseng and retinal while working to diminish the appearance of dark circles and skin dehydration. With a rich consistency, this serum provides hydration without leaving a heavy residue.
